Husband of Edith Lucille Whitaker of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, they were married on 14 March, 1925, in Scottsbluff, Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska.

Harry A. Banghart, 69, of 609 East 28th Street, died Monday evening at a Denver hospital. He was born July 23, 1901, at North Bend, Nebraska and came to Scottsbluff with his parents in 1912. His parents later homesteaded in South Dakota and he attended the Thrall Academy there. He attended Scottsbluff schools when his family returned here and he later graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1955 in a Special Education Program.

On March 14, 1925, he married Edith Whitaker at Torrington. She preceded him in death in 1956.

He attended the Coyn Electrical School in Chicago in 1928 and was associated with the Great Western Sugar Company for 47 years as a machinist and was serving as shop foreman at the Bayard factory when he retired in 1966.

He married Mary Ann Wake on June 10, 1961at Scottsbluff and they have made their home here since that time.

He was a member of the Robert W. Furnas Lodge No. 265 AF&AM, the First United Methodist Church, was a past president of the Nature Club of Scottsbluff, was a past president of the Oregon Trail Museum Association and belonged to the North Platte Valley Historical Association.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters; Mrs. O.C. (Dorothy) Adcock of McGrew, Mrs. L.J. (Lola) Popken of Grand Island and Mrs. Darrell (Elizabeth) Fouts of Hamilton, Montana; one brother, Dana Banghart of Mitchell; one sister, Mrs. Ida Willoughby of Huntsville, Alabama; and six grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Benson-Jolliffe Funeral Home with the Revs. Lloyd J. Bliss and Francis Bruce and the Robert W. Furnas Lodge No. 265 AF&AM officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
