11/21/1963- Tuttle Times:
Mrs Gene (Effie Ione) Marlow passed away suddenly at her home in Tuttle Friday. Mrs Marlow had not been in good health for several years, but apparently was feeling no worse when stricken. She was born 4/19/1890 in Missouri, and came to Tuttle from near Prague in 1909, and had lived here the remainder of life except for a few years at El Reno. Survivors include the husband, Gene, of the home, 3 sons, Troy & J.E. jr, both of Tuttle, & Wayne of Oklahoma City, 3 daughters, Mrs Margaret Watson, Mrs Opal Biddy of Oklahoma City, & Mrs Thelma Craig of Moore, 19 grandchildren, & 7 great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday in the First Baptist church with Rev Alvin McConnell officiating. Mrs Austin Vandament, soloist, provided the music. Pallbearers were Ray Turner, Charles Logan, Benny Douglas, Harold McCarthey, Jack Walker, & Claud Haywood. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery under the direction of the Sowers funeral home. Jim
