THOMAS LEE COSTNER BESSEMER CITY—Thomas Lee Costner, 86, Bessemer City R-1 died Saturday morning at Kings Mountain Hospital.
He was the son of the late Simri Moses and Mary Rayfield Costner.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Lela Detter Costner; six daughters, Mrs. Eva Detter, Mrs. Nellie Neal, and Mrs. Beatrice Callahan, all of Bessemer City; Mrs. Rozella Ford, Kings Mountain; Mrs. Peggy Ray, Gastonia; and Mrs. Doris Jenkins, Clover, SC; four sons, the Rev. Oscar Costner, Gastonia, and Russell, Earl and Jerry Costner, all of Bessemer City; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Fraley, Gastonia; Mrs. Bertha Jones, High Shoals; and Mrs. Dovie Walker, Clover, SC; three brothers, Cleveland Costner, Valdese; Christie Costner, Gastonia; Roy Costner, Mt. Holly; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 3 pm at the Holland Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Bobenhamer and the Rev. Fred Crisp officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 until 9 pm at Sisk Funeral Home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services.
