Edwin J. Williams was born in Rutland county, Vermont, Nov. 30th, 1820, and died near Wyoming, Iowa, October 23d, 1899, at the age of 78 years,10 months and 23 days. He removed to Cedar county, Iowa, in 1854, and from there to Jones county, Iowa, in 1893. He had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church about 55 years. He belonged to a family of eight children, three of whom survive him.
