Mrs. Phoebe Ordway died at the home of her sister in town, Mrs. Alden, last Thursday morning. The funeral service took place at the house Saturday, conducted by Rev. E.G. Waite, assisted by Rev. C.F. Hoffman. Interment was in the family burial lot at Oxford Junction. Mrs. Ordway was born in Vermont in 1819, and moved to Iowa, in 1854, settling in Clinton county. Her husband died several years ago. She had long ago passed the limit of three score and ten and was ready for the summons of death.
