Elizabeth Neill
Dies at Ninety
------
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Neill,aged ninety years,two months and twenty-seven days died Wednesday, September 27, 1950 at 7:55 AM at the home of her son, Ralph,at Mayport,RD 3.
She is survived by 179 descendants.
Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Neill had been ill the past year.
Born June 30, 1860 in Jefferson County,she was the
daughter of William and Elizabeth (Shirey) Martz.
She was married to Robert Neill who died fifteen years ago.
Surviving are four sons and seven daughters:
George of Oak Ridge;
David of Brookville;
Mrs. Lillie Shick of Coolspring;
Mrs. Daisy Burkett of Big Run;
Archie of Hawthorn;
Mrs. Olive Boyer of Punxsutawney;
Mrs. Margaret Hinderliter of Connellsville;
Mrs. Inez McAninch of Hawthorn;
Mrs. Mayme Songer of Emporium;
Mrs. Lottie Ferringer of RD 3, New Bethlehem;
and Ralph of Mayport, RD 3.
One son and one daughter preceded their mother in death.
Two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Smith,Clarion,
and Mrs. Amanda Minick of Emerickville,
also survive, as do sixty-one grandchildren,
seventy-three great grandchildren and
thirty-four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday. September 29, at 2 PM at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home at Hawthorn with Mrs. Elizabeth Dumann and Rev. A. F. Thomas officiating. Interment was in Cliff Cemetery near Pansy.
