Married to David Crissman born 1825
The Henry County Republican (Clinton, Missouri) - 1 August 1902, page 1:
OBIT - "Mrs. Mary M. CRISSMAN (i.e., Mary Magdalene (THOMPSON) CRISSMAN), wife of D. S. CRISSMAN (i.e., David Schmick CRISSMAN), died Saturday, July 26 (i.e., 1902), of various afflictions incident to old age.
The deceased was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, April 2,1828. In 1850 she was married to D. S. CRISSMAN, five years later moving to Missouri, where they have since resided.
The funeral services were held at the family residence, four miles north of Clinton, Sunday afternoon, July 27, Rev. O. M. Stewart, D.D., pastor of the First M. E. church of this city, officiating. Rev. Pierce, a former pastor and friend of the family, also spoke a few comforting and helpful words.
She leaves a husband and 10 children, who owe a great deal to her self-sacrificing love and devotion. Though an invalid for more than 25 years, still she moulded (sic) the moral and religious life of her children, and was largely the means that led them all into fellowship with God and the membership of the church. Though a great sufferer she was always cheerful and patient, sympathizing and helpful most to those who most needed sympathy and help. Her life was one of toil and suffering, but it was full of faith, hope, peace and victory."
