I have been interested in family genealogy since 1955. Photo standing at Walker Cemetery in Path Valley Franklin County holding Alexander Walker History then going onto Gettysburg Pa.

When I was in grade school, we learned about Governor Peter Stuyvesant of New Amsterdam (today New York) who had a wooden "peg leg". Upon learning that, since my last name was Stivenson and they called me Peg, my nickname became "Peg Leg Stivenson". In the 1914 Armstrong County history there is is a bio from Charles Stivanson who said our family goes back to the Governor. All this intrigued me, so I began searching and have continued searching in every courthouse from Armstrong County to Philadelphia Pa!.

I not only have researched my family history, but have assisted numerous people in finding their ancestors and guided them to the proper resources.

I can trace back to Thomas Wynne who came over with William Penn on ship Welcome in October 1682 in Philadelphia Pa.

I am member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and have put in 9 new members of my family. In addition, I am a Lifetime member of the Auxiliary Sarah A Crawford to the Sons of the Union Veterans Civil War Kittanning, Pa, having ancestor fight during these time periods. I am lifetime member of Leechburg Pa Historical Society and Armstrong County Pa Historical Society.

I assisted with the Yount History of Armstrong County along with Roger Kremer, the Alexander Walker the first History along with Myrtle Cunningham. I researched and published the History of my church "Tishgimoneges Allegheny or Salem Church Klingensmith" Pleasant Hill Cemetery. IN 1934 TABLET WAS PLACED TO MARK THE SITE PIONEER LUTHERAN BY 5 MEN OF THE AREA WITH MY GREAT UNCLE WILLIAM KUHN KEPPLE. AFTER THE CIVIL WAR 1861-1865 PEOPLE ATTEND IN LEECHBURG The First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Leechburg, PA (1814-1989). I have helped with Rev. Paul Miller Ruff on Rev. William Weinel Records. Rev. Paul Ruff gave me a copy of Klingensmith Paper that was in Bible written in German when the Klingensmith Family came over mountains 1770 to Westmoreland county and built the Klingensmith Blockhouse.
Copied Crooked Creek Presbyterian Cemetery Ford City , Fork-Zion Lutheran Cemetery Leechburg, Rupps Christ Lutheran Cemetery Kittanning , Brick St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery Ford City. Help with Concord Presbyterian Cemetery Dayton Pa and St Johns Lutheran Cemetery Sagamore, Pa all in Armstrong County Pa.

December 2014 I went to Germany and saw were relatives came. All my life, I have lived on the Walker Farm in Armstrong County Pa, which has been in my family since January 9th, 1797
