His parents are not buried at St Paul's Lutheran Church
There is no cemetery record and local historian Joe Cameron believed they were buried on the old Phillippi homestead.
Father: Johann Adam Phillippe (1736 - 1800)
Mother: Maria Barbara Eva Eichelberger Phillippe (1739 - 1823)
Unmarked grave. Surveyed by historian Joe Cameron. Joe found indentions on the hill across the road from the Old John Phillippi homestead, where he believed Christian Phillippi and wife, Catherine, were buried. The homestead is now known as Phillippi Springs. Most of the springs have dried up because of the Rural Retreat dam.
I was there in 2008. On the satallite photo, it appears that someone has built a house on the site as of 2013.

The old Phillippi home sits just off and on the east side of the road in a sharp curve, and across the road and up on the hill from the house is the cemetery. The exact location is unknown because there are no markers and never have been according to Phillippi family members.] Isiaiah Phillippi, a brother to Luther was born in 1855 - a young unmarried man and one other of that family are buried in this cemetery. Christian Phillippi, and his wife are supposed to also be buried here. [Cameron note: This Christian was the one who married Catherine Dutton]
