Billy Gene Duke, 34-year old Stinnett resident, was pronounced dead at the scene about seven and a half miles south of the Dumas Highway on Oil City Road. Stinnett Justice of the Peace Jake Early declared the fatality an accidental death.

Duke of Borger, Ralph Duke of Skellytown and Earnest Duke of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Shrader of Stinnett, and Mrs. Mary Parks of Beaver, Oklahoma.
