Dubart Murphy, son of the Rev. William Murphy Sr. & Sarah Barton Murphy (latter buried in the Masonic Cemetery on South Henry & Carter Street, she is credited for organizing and teaching the first Sunday School west of the Mississippi). Dubart married Sarah Bacon on Dec. 17, 1801 or '03. Dubart is the full brother of Rev. David Murphy (who donated the 52 acres to establish St. Francois County seat which latter became downtown Farmington) and the half-brother of Rev. William "Big Billy" Murphy Jr., who is credited as the founder of the Murphy Settlement which became Farmington. One of the nine children of Dubart & Sarah (nee Bacon) Murphy was Isabella Murphy who married Philip G. Long of the Long familiy, a prominant family of St. Francois County, the old City Hall is named the Long Building.

Dubart & Sarah (nee Bacon) Murphy's seven known named children were: Katherine {md. David Evans}, Mary, {md. a Mr. Edgar}, Jesse, Isabella {md. Philip Long}, George B., Jane {md. George Walker}, and Sarah {md. a Mr. Brinker}.
