“Margaret S. (Stafford) Hushaw, 78, 3414 Hushaw Road, Attica, died at 9:18 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 1997 at her residence. She had been in ill health for the past seven years. She was born in Lafayette, October 5, 1919, the daughter of Edmund and Helen Hull Stafford. She married Carroll M. Hushaw October 12, 1952 in Odell. He survives. They just celebrated their 45 wedding anniversary.
She had formerly lived in Odell and was a graduate of Jackson Heights School in 1938. She had lived in Shawnee Township for the past 45 years. She was a former secretary-bookkeeper for DriAll for many years. She was a member of Jackson Heights United Methodist Church and Attica Chapter #125 O.E.S. She loved to knit and tend to her vegetable and flower gardens.
Surviving, besides the husband, are: a daughter, Nancy (Ralph) Tillotson, Attica; a sister, Barbara (Don) Hallett, Lafayette; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Matthew and Emily Tillotson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Ade, and a brother, Charles Stafford.
Friends may be received from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with O.E.S. memorial services being conducted at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jeff Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
