He had attended Attica High School and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Jackson Heights United Methodist Church, Wabash Lodge 708 F&AM of Attica and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.
Surviving are one son, Charles E. Stafford, Route 1, Romney; three daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Margaret) Hushaw, Route 1, Attica, Mrs. Leroy (Mary Ellen) Ade, West Lafayette, and Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Hallett, Kalamazoo, Michigan; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dean C. and William, and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Bridge.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Funeral services will be in the Maus Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Virginia Nead officiating.
