Jimmy Duke McMurray, 78, of Bowling Green, formerly of Mount Vernon, Indiana, died at 11:43 p.m. September 27, 2009, at The Medical Center.
The Union County native was born October 7, 1930.
He was a retired parts manager for Wallace Motors and Keck Motors. He was a member of the American Legion Post, The Moose Lodge and the VFW Post. He was a son of the late Thomas Conway McMurray and Ruby Frances Divine McMurray.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine McMurray of Noblesville, Indiana; a son, Pat McMurray of Houston; three daughters, Suzan McMurray of Glasgow, Lucy Boyd of Houston and Leigh Sanders and her husband, James W. Sanders, of Morgantown; a stepson, Tim Hall and his wife, Sara, of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Jackie Carney of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Jennifer Freeman of Bowling Green, Sharon Jameson and Paul Boyd, both of Houston, Chad Sanders of Owensboro, Chris Sanders of Brownsville and Shauna Wilson of Smiths Grove; three step grandchildren, Millie Hall, Kevin Carney and Shaun Carney; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-step grandchildren.
Memorial service is at 1 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
