BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz.--June (Ramsaur) Poore, a former Centralia resident, died Jan. 30 in Black Canyon City, Ariz. at the age of 85.
Born Dec. 10, 1891, in Flagstaff, Ariz., she, her mother, father and a brother traveled by covered wagon in 1900 to Centralia where they settled. On June 18, 1916, she married Edwin Poore. Both loved to travel and visited all the continents of the world and most of the islands.
In 1931 they traveled to every state in the United States, and in 1933 they moved to Alaska to mine gold. After three years they returned to Centralia where she operated a women's apparel store until her retirement in the early1960's. A few years later they returned to Arizona.
In addition to her husband, Ed, Black Canyon City, Ariz., local relatives include, Helen Ramsaur, Frances Poore, Clarence Poore, Jean Kiser, Fred Ramsaur and Bill Ramsaur.
