John Randle Cason was born on 10 Aug 1920 in Pierce County, Georgia to John Manuel Cason and Mary Arelia (Clark) Cason. He died on 01 Oct 2009 in Offerman, Pierce County, Georgia at the age of 89. He was a carpenter and farmer by trade all his life. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna (Boyette) Cason whom he married on 25 Dec 1940; his second wife, Evelyn (Johnson) Barnes Cason whom he married in 1987; a son, Raymond Cecil Cason; and two stepsons, Joe Barnes and Jamie Barnes; brothers, Simon Shadrick Cason, Samuel Reppard Cason, James Allen Cason, Frank Shesbure Cason, and Everett Lawton Cason; and sisters, Mary Ann Cason, Sarah Bell (Cason) Boyette, Maggie Lee (Cason) Johnson, and Carolyn Virginia Cason. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Faye (Cason) Davis; and five stepdaughters, Linda (Barnes) Brinkley, Margaret (Barnes) Bargeron, and living stepdaughters; two sons, Jack Ronald "Ronnie" Cason, and living son; two stepsons; two daughters-in-law; 39 granchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law, a brother, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
