Bernita McDaniel- Dixon August 14, 1954 - September 28, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA— Ms. Bernita McDaniel-Dixon, 55, of Columbus, GA died September 28, 2009 at Columbus Hospice. Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Kimbrough's Funeral Home Chapel, 837 5th Avenue, Columbus, GA, with Rev. Alonzo Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Paul Cemetery in Crawford, AL. Repast will be at 1308 20th Street, Apt. E (the home of Ms. Ella Mae Austin). Visitation will be today from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Kimbrough's Funeral Home. Ms. Dixon was born August 14, 1954, in Harris County, GA, daughter of the late Curtis Dixon and Eva Mae Dixon. She is survived by her son, Franchot Isodore McDaniel of Jacksonville, FL; and one daughter, Turonica Raney of Columbus, GA; four brothers, Curtis Dixon, Jr. of Columbus, GA, Daglas Dixon of Columbus, GA, Jimmy Lee Dixon of Columbus, GA, Willie Harris of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Diane Dixon of Columbus, GA, Ella Mae Austin of Columbus, GA and Belinda Dixon of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
