Services for Mary Opal Middleton, 65, of 601 Eastwood in Caruthersville, who died May 7th at the hospital in Hayti, were held May 9th at 2 p.m. in the Dean Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Martin Capehart officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 12th, 1913 in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of the late William W. and Abbie Blair Lucas. She married James F. Middleton Aug. 3rd, 1929 in Caruthersville.
Survivors include three sons, James William and Terry Middleton, both of Caruthersville, and Billy Gene Middleton, of Huntsville, Ala.; four daughters, Dorothy Hatley, Peggy Hooker, Helen Cummings, and Roberta Robertson, all of Caruthersville; one sister, Katheryn McKlasslin of Buchanan, Mich.; 27 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Robertson, Larry Middleton, James Hatley, Ronnie Hatley, Bill Hatley, and Joe Middleton.

GRANDSON: Michael David Middleton (1971-2003) Both interred in Little Prairie Cemetery, Caruthersville, Mo.
