Life Storey of La Bertha Thomasson

Mrs. Earl E. [LaBertha] Thomasson passed away at Newton, Iowa on Wednesday, July 2nd, at the age of 56 years. three months and twenty-eight days.

Funeral services wer held Saturday at the Monroe United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Wolcott officating. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery.

LaBertha was born on March 4th 1919 near Otley, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Matthew and Annie [Klyn] DeLeeuw. She was united in marriage to Earl E. Thomasson on December 24th 1937 at Monroe, Iowa.

Survivied by her husband, Earl and three children: Melvin Lee Thomasson and Jerry Wayne Thomasson both who are both at home and Judy, Mrs. Jack Hawkins of Monroe, Iowa. Two brothers also survived her: Gerit DeLeeuw of Newton, Iowa nad Matthew DeLeeuw of SanJose, Califorina.

Preceded in death by her parents and one infant son
