Elizabeth Jane Barks, 85, of Janesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Mercy Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1924, in Oakley, WI, the daughter of Roy and Mattie (Silverthorn) Timm. Elizabeth married Earl Simpson in 1943, in Janesville. Earl died on Sept. 8, 1958. She later married Grider Barks in 1963. Elizabeth was employed in the medical field as an office technician while living in Hallendale, FL. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi.
