OBITUARY Iron County Reporter Jan 11 2012 "Obituaries: Goldine Baumgartner" with photo
IRON RIVER-Goldine V. Baumgartner, 93, passed away Jan. 2, 2012 at her home.
She was born on Jan. 10, 1918 in Stambaugh Township. The daughter of the late Godfrey and Clara (Ende) Anderson was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended the Pioneer and Stambaugh schools. On June 18, 1938, Goldine married Leo Baumgartner at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in 1999. Leo preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1999. Goldine was employed by the Balducci Supper Club for many years. She was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, St. Ann's Society and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting, and sewing for her grandchildren. She loved to be outdoors, spending time with her flowers and fishing. She was also preced in death by her brother Roy Anderson and sister Beatrice Rivard.
She is survived by two sons, Jerome (Theresa) Baumgartner of Iron River and Wayne (Sharon) Baumgartner of Canton, Mich.; two daughters, Arlene (Donald) Paschen of Sweet Home, Ore. and Priscilla Fleming of Michigan Center, Mich.; two brothers, Milton Anderson of Iron River and Baynard Anderson of Iron River; two sisters, Lillian (James) Goodhall of Kenosha, Wis. and Lydia Sipper of Green Bay, Wis.; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase offering the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Ann's Society formed an Honor Guard at the service.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River.

Among the early settlers in Stambaugh were John and Anna Anderson who came from Sweden to Stambaugh in 1882. John and Anna Anderson had seven children, all of whom settled in Stambaugh and Stambaugh Township. Their children included Godfrey and Enock (twins).
Godfrey married the former Clara Ende. The couple had seven children including Goldine (Baumgartner), Roy, Milton, Baynard and Beatrice (twins), and Lillian and Lydia, also twins.

OBITUARY of Lillian Goodhall 2013 says Goldine Baumgartner was her sister.
