Jennie (1872-1891) (Bean?) Zeliff, McKenzie married Clarence L. McKenzie (8/26/1865-8/14/1939.

A suggested edit: found her in the 1880 census as Jennie Bean, adopted daughter of Frank and Inez Bosworth. Contributor: Judy Gatesman MacCabe note: Not sure this proves she was in the Bean family. The Bosworth family could have adopted a Zeliff child or Jennie may have married a Zeliff, first.

Suggested edit: I have located the marriage certificate for Jennie and Clarence McKenzie. It is certificate # 15134, New York State Marriage Index, New York State Department of Health in Albany, NY. Jennie Zeliff and Clarence McKenzie married on 18 September 1889 in Limestone, Cattaraugus, New York when he was 24 and she was 17. Hope this helps. Darlene Kerr

She died about 2 years later.
Note: Clarence McKenzie was the son of John and Harriet Zeliff McKenzie. I believe Jennie was a possible cousin, as Clarence's mother was a Zeliff. Harriet Zeliff McKenzie brother, William married a Jennie (it's also, possible it's the same Jennie and this gave her the Zeliff name., although, I have no record of them having children one may have been born and named after this Jennie.

Note:
Clarence married three times I have to guess on order: Jennie (1872-1891, age 19), I think is first, as she died first. Then Thirza as she died next (1871-1898), age 27) and then Clara who is Thirza's sister, died in 1923 and was 58. She appeared in the 1900 census with Clarence, Enola, Lena and Morris. If Thirza waited until Jennie died they were married about 1891 until she died in 1898 then Clara must have married about 1898 until her death in 1923.

I would say Thirza was mother of Enola, Lena and Morris. Plus, they lost an infant. Then Clara would be mother of Maurice, Bruce and another infant. (Limestone Cemetery records, Archives and census)

Clarence's children by Thirza and Clara, and/or some by Thirza and raised by Clara: (born after Jennie died) Enola Clara McKenzie (4/20/1893 Limestone, NY-1/15/1970 Bradford, Pa.) Knapenberger (Guy), Lena Marie McKenzie (4/1895 NY-2/1957) Foster (sp. Norman Foster), Morris G. McKenzie (1897 NY-)(in the 1900 census but not in the 1910 census), (Thirsa died here so the next children must be Clara's) Maurice Gale McKenzie (5/19/1899 Limestone, NY-2/19/1967 Bradford, Pa.)(sp. Harriet), and Bruce Harold McKenzie (3/13/1902 NY-10/12/1959 Los Angelas Ca.) (spouse, Frances Elizabeth Hoag McKenzie). (these children were listed as Clara's in 1900 and 1910 census). Plus, an Infant daughter McKenzie (1903-1903) and another baby that didn't live past infancy

Jennie died in 1891, before any of the above children were born. She was only 19 so may not have bore a child before she died.

Thanks to the Limestone Cemetery records, who have the only record I could find of Jennie, Darlene and MSue.
