He was born in Arkansas September 16, 1915, a son of George Washington and Maggie Herron Leamons.
He was married January 13, 1939, to Mary Ethel Long and she survives with four children: Glenn David of Bluffs and Lyle Ray of Springfield; Samme Joe, wife of Dale E. Schramm, and Willa Mae, wife of Harry W. Bivin, both of Modesto; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Amos of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Silvian of Coleman, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. Anna Mae Langley of Coleman, Texas and Mrs. Idell Loy of Arkadelphia Arkansas.
Mr. Leamons was a member of the Southern Baptist church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 6 at 2 p.m. at Neece Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Wankel officiating.
Burial was in Waverly East cemetery.
