CARBON, Ind., July 24 - (Special) -
David Isaac Thomas, 65-year-old retired clay worker, died at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday night at the family residence in Carbon. Surviving are the widow, Gertie; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Lucas of Indianapolis, Mrs. Nellie Haughee of Monticello, Mrs. Winifred Cress of Cumberland and Mrs. Betty Phipps of Carbon; five sons, Russel Thomas of Carbon, James Thomas of Cicero, Fay Thomas of Indianapolis and Dean Thomas, with the armed forces in Texas; one brother, Manuel Thomas of Carbon; seven sisters, Mrs. Ettie Butler of Brazil, Mrs. Pearl Payne of Lena, Mrs. Mamie Haxon, Mrs. Thora Boswell, Mrs. Ruth Myers, Mrs. Clora Martin and Mrs. Ethel Howard, all of Carbon. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Miller & Sons Funeral Home in Brazil. Brother Joe Miller will officiate with burial in the Calcutta cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
