Mrs. Doris Lawrence Grove, age 79 of Crockett, formerly of Lovelady, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 in the East Texas Medical Center Crockett. Mrs. Grove was born December 27, 1929 in Houston, Texas and had been living in Crockett, previously living in Lovelady. She was retired from Southwestern Bell having worked as a secretary and was a member of the Grace Street Church of Christ in Crockett.

Survivors include her husband L. F. "Bill" Grove, of Crockett; four children Heidi Julian of Lovelady, Myles Rippenhagen of Calgary, Canada, Clay Rippenhagen and wife Catherine, of Austin and Trey Rippenhagen and wife Linda, of Sugar Land; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Harold Lawrence, of Cypress; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceded in death by her parents Benjamine and Lola Lawrence; sister Mildred Shropshire; and brother Chester Lawrence. Funeral Services for Mrs. Doris Lawrence Grove were held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rick Kelley officiating.
