Joan Park, 67, of Columbus, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in her residence following a brief illness.
She was born March 13, 1942, in Wakefield, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Preston and Eunice Avenal (Rose) Wright. She was a 1960 graduate of Minford High School where she was Miss Falcon. She retired from A-C Delco.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Gary Wright Park, whom she married Aug. 30 ,1969; grandson, Scotty Park; two sisters, Linda (Ed) Myers and Judy (James) Wallace; brother, Ezra (Carolyn) Wright; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Wesley Park; and brothers, Jack and Harry Wright.
A visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Spence-Miller Funeral Home, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. the same day in the funeral home, with the Rev. Edson Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery in Grove City.
Contributions may be made in Joan's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
