Benjamin M Ritchie, 73, died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday morning at the Nicholas County Hospital after a two week illness. He was a farmer of near Myers, and a member of the Barterville Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie Kelley Ritchie; four sons, William Ritchie, Nicholas County, Virgil Ritchie, Cincinnati; Gaylord Ritchie, Mayslick, and Cecil Ritchie, Detroit, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Leonard Crawford, Lexington; Mrs. Harry Purcell, Mt. Olivet; Mrs. Henry Barnett, Myers; Mrs. Russell Cox, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Charlse Hunt, Nicholas County, three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Wagoner, Versailles; Mrs. Lucy Harney, Nicholas County, and Mrs. Kitty Ann Hollar, Paris; 30 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Mo9nday at the Myers Christian Church. Burial was in Carlisle Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul and Maurice Cameron, William McFarland, George Kimes, Sherman Crump and Clarence McCarty.
