Albert Quincy Adams, was born (1/14/1844)in Ohio, the son of John Smith (born in Massachuesett) & Theda Corkins (born in NY) Adams who married on Dec 5 1866. (MSue)

Albert, was in the Co. C 55th Reg. Ohio Inf. (MSue)

He married Euphemia Bosworth Adams (1840 NY-). (1880 census)

Their known children were: May B. Adams (1870 NY-), Ernest W. Adams (1872 NY-), Frank E Adams (1875 NY-), and Grace D. Adams (1876 NY-). (1880 census) The 1870 census has Quincy living with his wife and May who was 1 yrs old.

On 9/22/1915 Albert and Euphemia gave their son Ernest a 1/2 acre of land from their property in Carrollton NY. (The Post, Ellicottville, New York).

In 1910 Albert and Euphemia were still living in Carrollton with Earnest. (census 1910). By the 1920 census, Ernest was living with Lydia Scott in Cattaraugus, NY.

Albert passed away in 1913 and was buried in the Limestone Cemetery.

Albert Quincy ADAMS was born in Loraine, Ohio, July 14, 1844. With his father's consent he enlisted in the 55th Ohio Infantry and was mustered in September 11, 1861, being honorably discharged November 5, 1862, on account of a gunshot wound in his left leg received at the second battle of Bull Run. He returned home and was employed to drive a team for the government in Kentucky in the winter of 1863-64. In the summer of 1864 he was employed on board a government tugboat on the Potomac and James rivers. In the fall of 1864 he came to Carrollton and ran a stationary engine in the steam sawmill of Dr. J. NICHOLS for nine years. He settled on the place where he now resides in 1868, and has since been a farmer. December 5, 1866 he married Euphemia Bosworth and they have two sons and two daughters. Their oldest child, May B., is a successful teacher.
