Charles W. "Pop" Alvey, 75 died at 5:15 p.m. yesterday at his home, 702 M. Street. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary R. Alvey; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Corbett, Mrs. Agnes Ohlmann, Mrs. Elizabeth Schnieders and Mrs. Anna Brumleve; four sons, Charles "Bud" Alvey, Richard, Frank and Bernard Alvey; a sister, Mrs. Laura Brown, Rineyville, Ky.; a brother, Damon Alvey, Howardstown; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Blandford-Ratterman Funeral Home, 2815 S. Fourth and at 9 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.

(Jenny) Alvey; father of Mrs. Louise Corbett, Mrs. Agnes Ohlmann, Mrs. Elizabeth Schnieders, Mrs. Anna Brumleve, Charles (Bud), Richard, Frank and Bernard Alvey; brother of Mrs. Laura Brown, Rineyville, Ky., and Damon Alvey of Howardstown, Ky.; also survived by 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mr. Alvey is at Blanford-Ratterman's, 2815 S. 4th St. Funeral Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, in Holy Name Church. Interment, St. Michael Cemetery. The Altar Society will pray the Rosary Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock and the Holy Name Society at 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
