It is unknown if Sarah is buried with any of her Banfill relatives. ( spelled

********************************

Sanford's Father Nathan Farmer Jr and his Family of Origin is featured in the:
" Biographies Extracted from the Commemorative Biographical Records of Northwestern Ohio"
It included Defiance, Henry, Williams and Fulton County Ohio. It was published at
Chicago: JH Beers Co. 1899.
It's a nice biography honoring Sanford's Father, Brother Enoch and their Family.

The Farmer Family Biography Excerpts are online on the Ohio Genealogy Express.com

Sanford's Father Nathan Jr. Farmer and his Family have an incredible Pioneer history. His Father's Ohio Biography is very impressive. Nathan Jr. lived in Surry North Carolina up until his late teens. His Parents lived their for a while. His Grandparents and Parents lived there after their families immigrated from England and Germany. The following information is paraphrased from the Biography.

Nathan Jr. was a Pioneer in many places around the USA.
In 1883 Nathan Jr Farmer (and Sarah, Children) was a First Settler what became the Township Farmer Township, named after him. They site his same dob 1796 in Surry North Carolina and his passing away in Iberia Brown Co. MN in 1872. Much is written about Nathan's History, his Son Enoch, his Parents, much more.

Nathan Farmer Jr. was married twice. His first wife Elizabeth passed away of an illness (in abt 1830). His Mother Hannah passed away around the same time. Enoch was 2 1/2 yrs old ( dob 4/29/1828). Nathan Jr. remarried to Sarah after being a Widower. Sarah was the Widow of Enoch Banfill. She was only married to Enoch for a short time before he passed away. Ohio Marriage Records have Sarah Banfill marrying Nathan Farmer. (Maiden name Westerfield) Sarah and Nathan Jr. initially
lived in Ohio. The Ohio Express Bio sited Nathan Farmer Jr was a Pioneer in five
States. Ohio, Indiana, Iowa , Minnesota sited. It appears that most of Nathan's
children, including Sanford were born in Ohio. After many travels as a successful
Pioneer, he finally settled in MN... Iberia MN, 16 miles from New Ulm. It
describes much about his life including his Pioneer days in Iberia MN. He passed
away at home in Iberia MN.

Nathan Jr.'s first spouse was Elizabeth Rodabaugh Farmer. They had abt four children:
Enoch, Adam, Lydia, Levina.

Nathan Jr. and Sarah Farmer may have had approx. six children per
some family tree sources. not confirmed. Sarah is Sanford's Mother. We have only
confirmed three children with this marriage union. ( Sanford, Belinda, Serena)

The Ohio biography has much information about the Farmer Family. Some dates don't match Census Reports. It does not cover Sanford's Family in MN as comprehensively. It didn't list the six children's names for Sarah and Nathan. It refers to Nathan Jr. spending the last year of his life with two of his children and living in Iberia MN. Nathan is is buried near his Son Sanford. His Grand Daughter Cora, relatives of Cora's Spouse are buried there. There were approx. 10 children total. Sanford had approx. 9 siblings. Our Family is aware of Sanford's Siblings Belinda, Serena from the union of his Father Nathan Jr and Mother Sarah. We don't know his other Siblings from the union of Nathan and Sarah.
The names of his Siblings that are known are included in the Bio and his Father Nathan Jr's Memorial.

1880 Federal Census Plainview Kansas
( after Nathan and Sanford Farmer passed away)
includes Sanford's Mother Sarah.
Sarah was included in the household as Mother in Law
living with Sanford's Sister Serena Farmer Serfoss Family
in Kansas. Serena and her husband Hiram later moved to Colorado. Serena and Hiram
passed away in Colorado. The Family Search Pedigree has Sarah Farmer allegedly
passing away in Plainview Kansas in 1888. It is not known where Sanford's Mother
Sarah Westerfield Banfill Farmer is buried.

--
Sanford's Mother Sarah could possibly be buried in Kansas or Minnesota (or elsewhere)
There was no headstone for Sarah Farmer found by volunteer who initially created
Memorials for Sanford and Nathan Jr. The cemetery is very old and some
headstones were broken, etc. There are other relations who are buried
there who do not have headstones now, but may have years ago.

Sanford's Mother Sarah Farmer could also be buried in Kansas.
Sanford's Sister Serena Farmer Serfoss - Serfoss relatives buried in Kansas.
Serena's Spouse Hiram's parents are buried there as well as other relatives
related to Serena and Hiram via that marriage union. These relatives are
buried at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Logan, Phillips Co. Kansas per
their Memorials.
