CUMBERLAND ‹ Jesse Norris, 89, of 12513 Bedford Road, NE, Cumberland, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born on Oct. 11, 1910, in Little Orleans, he was the son of the late George W. Norris and Harriett E. (Apple) Norris. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beulah (Haycock) Norris.
Mr. Norris was a car inspector for Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Norris and wife Patsy, Flintstone, and Edward Norris and wife Phyllis, Waynesboro, Pa.; a daughter, Kay Zembower and husband James E., Centerville, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Denny Michael officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
