FORT MYERS NEWS-PRESS, June 18, 1982 - Funeral services for Mr. Hollie Hair, 91, of 3011 St. Charles Street, Fort Myers, will be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. from the Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor James A. Bing officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot of Woodlawn Cemetery.
A native of Sooper, Mississippi, Mr. Hair had resided in Fort Myers since 1926. He joined Friendship Baptist Church many years ago under the pastorage of Rev. Collier. He was preceded in death in October of 1973 by his wife, Bertha Chatman Hair.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Mrs. Viola Silas and Mrs. Gladys Walker, both of Fort Myers; and Mrs. Evelyn Countryman of Jacksonville, FL; one step-daughter, Mrs. Luvilla James of Fort Myers; grandchildren, Mrs. Glenda Hudson, Mrs. Paula D. Benyard and husband Tony of Fort Myers, Miss Pataricia Salters, Mr. Johnny Salters and wife Jackie of Houston, TX; Mr. Tommy Salters and wife Pearl of Fort Lauderdale, Mrs. Mildred Harris and husband Solomon of Augusta, GA, Mrs. Gracie Phillips of Hartford, CT and Frederick and Clarence Walker of Fort Myers; three great-grandchildren, Torri T. Benyard of Fort Myers, Belinda and Armenius Harris of Augusta, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Williams; three sons-in-law, Tommy Salters and Armenius Walker, both of Fort Myers and Clarence Countryman of Jacksonville; other relatives adn friends.
