GLASFORD, (Special) – Elmer R. Lightbody, 61, a retired grocer and resident of Glasford for many years, died unexpectedly at 6:20 p. m. Tuesday at his home. He had been in failing health for two years.
A son of Mark and Elizabeth Lightbody, he was born in Timber township, Peoria county, April 21, 1887.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Lightbody of the home; two sons, Roy E. Lightbody of Glasford and Ray E. Lightbody, St. Louis, Mo., and a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Rader, Fort Collins, Colo., and two grandchildren.
