Gwendolyn Lindsay Summerhays Todd, the daughter of William Henry Summerhays and Lula Bennion Lindsay, passed away Sunday, July 4, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born March 12, 1901 in Salt Lake City, Utah and married Douglas McClain Todd, Jr. on March 27, 1975 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death.

She worked for Daynes Jewelry Co. as office manager for 43 years. An active member of the church throughout her life, she served as the Nibley Park Ward organist for 70 years and as the Granite Stake organist for 50 years. Her love for music involved her as president of the Utah Organ Guild as well as the accompanist for many years of the Metropolitan Male Chorus.

Gwen was loved by all and will be remembered for her lifelong devotion to her immediate and extended family.

Survivors include brothers, Preston L., Farmington, Utah; Lawrence L., Salt Lake City; Melvin L., Midvale, Utah; sisters, Emma Walker and Norma Purrington, Salt Lake City; and Marjorie Hovik, Lake Wildwood, Calif.

Funeral services Friday, July 9, 1993 at 12 noon in the Nibley Park Ward, 2450 South 600 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Friday, 10-11:30 a.m.

Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
