THIS IS A PEOM WRITTEN BY MAR-LE-AH MOULTON KANISTANAUX WHICH EXPLAINS THE CORRECT PRONUNCIATION OF THE NAME AND WHO SHE WAS;
THIS WAS TAKEN FROM A BROCHURE SHE HAD, TO SELL HERBS, WHICH SHE DID QUITE WELL, I HAVE A LOT ON THIS PART. DOCUMENTED IN THE "HISTORY OF Stockton NY thru the rear view mirror"
She taught the local doctors the use of herbs in healing.

POEM BY MAR LE AH

WELCOME TO THE INDIAN DOCTRESS
MANY SUFFERING PEOPLE SAY
BY HER KNOWLEDGE AND HER SCIENCE
SHE DRIVES SAD COMPLAINTS AWAY;
WITH THE INDIAN MODE OF CURING
THAT'S THE MODE WITHOUT A FLAW
SHE ASTONISHES THE PEOPLE,
WELCOME TO KAN-IS-TAN-AUX
