He died on May 4, 2010 in Florida. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers and sisters: Jim Hyde, William Hyde, Helen Brown, and Sarah (Sally) Stephens Larson.
∼HYDE, George A. 86, retired Primate of the Orthodox-Catholic Church of America, died on May 4, 2010. Archbishop Hyde resided in Belleair where he continued to write and council parishes around the country. In his secular life, he was Director of Community Relations at Anderson Memorial Hospital in South Carolina. He had many devoted and loving friends and will be greatly missed. George A Hyde's ashes are buried in Marietta, GA.
