Funeral services will be held here, Saturday afternoon, for Newton Beatty of Cherry Street, a retired painter, who died Thursday in the Adrian Hospital. He was 72 years of age.
Mr. Beatty was born August 14, 1891, in McGees Mills, a son of
Augustus and Francis Simpson Beatty and was married to Maybelle Dickey.
He was a member of the local Moose Lodge.
He had resided in Punxsutawney the past 47 years.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter:
Mrs Wayne Lowman of Homer City;
a son, Robert Beatty, of Penn Hills, Pa.,
and six grand children.
Friends will be received at the Pifer Funeral Home here. Interment will be in the Paradise Methodist Cemetery.
Note:

Cemetery.
