OCEAN SPRINGS --- Mr. Oswald Paul Beaugez, 72, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000, in Ocean Springs.

Mr. Beaugez was a native of Ocean Springs where he resided his entire life. He lived in the home in which he grew up. He retired from 42 years of civil service employment at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. Mr. Beaugez was an avid fan of opera with an extensive collection of recordings to choose from. His music brought him hours of enjoyment. He was a volunteer with the Star Program, a literacy program which teaches adults to read. He was a student of the American sign-language. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Paul and Sybil Mae Beaugez.

Survivors include his wife, Elena Beaugez of Ocean Springs; two sons, Paul Beaugez of D'Iberville and Guy Beaugez of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Joyce Westbrook of Ocean Springs and Gwen Harry of Los Alamos, New Mexico; one brother, Henry "Pee Wee" Beaugez of Ocean Springs; and a grandchild, Jessica Beaugez of D'Iberville.

On Friday, September 22, 2000, there will be a 10 a.m. graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family prefers that memorials be made to "Thru the Bible Radio," Box 7100 Pasadena, CA 91109 or the charity of your choice.
