Mrs. M. H. Rowe
Passed Away Today


Mrs. Ida Rowe, aged 68 years, died at the family home several miles west of Davis this morning after a lingering illness. She had been in ill health for quite awhile and her death was not unexpected.

Deceased was the wife of M. H. Rowe, farmer living west of Davis, and mother of Sheriff Earl Rowe. She was one of the early settlers in this country and had a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church in Davis at 2 p.m. Friday. Services conducted by Rev. J. S. Ferguson, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Harold Menges

Mrs. Rowe's Funeral
Held Here Friday


Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Rowe, 68, wife of M. H. Rowe, were held at the Baptist church in Davis last Friday, being attended by a large concourse of friends.

Rev. J. S. Ferguson of this city and his son, Rev. W. F. Ferguson of Gainesville conducted the service, which was followed by burial in Green Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Rowe was born Aug. 4, 1867, at Minden, La. At the age of three she moved with her parents to Hunt county, Texas, and lived there until young womanhood. When 16 she moved to Fort Arbuckle and two years later married M. H. Rowe. To this union were born three sons, Earl, Frank and Carl Rowe, all living. She died at the family home west of Davis, Jan. 30, 1936.

Survivors are her husband, three sons, 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A citizen of the Arbuckle community for more than half a century, Mrs. Rowe had a wonderful influence for good on the people of that community. She will be greatly missed by her many friends.
