Death of Uncle Brad Camp.

J. B. Camp, one of the best known and oldest citizens of this community, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. H. Hoover, several miles west of Davis, on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment was made in the Howell graveyard yesterday at 3 p.m. "Uncle Brad," as he was called by everybody, was one of the first settlers in the Wild Horse valley, coming here nearly 40 years ago and locating near where the Washita bridge now stands. He was here when the soldiers were stationed at Fort Arbuckle and used to sell them provisions. He was a native of Louisiana.

Mr. Camp was 72 years of age and was a very active man till a few years ago. He was an honorable man, well liked by everybody and had a charitable turn of mind. Four daughters survive him, viz; Mrs. Hoover, Mrs. Will Moore, Mrs. Tom Hamm and Mrs. Joe Kemp. His only son was killed years ago. The world is better for Uncle Brad having lived in it, and his many friends sympathize with the bereaved relatives over his death.
