Mrs. Bruce died in Elizabethtown, Ky., June 29, 1981 at the age of 90 years. She was the widow of the late Don Bruce. She was born on Sept. 17, 1890 in Carrsville, Ky., Mrs. Bruce was a devoted housewife, mother and farmer. She was a former resident of Micola and was a member of the Micola Baptist Church.
Survivors include a grandson, Charles Strain of Radcliff, Ky., five great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Decator Bruce and a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Strain and granddaughter, Mrs. Barbara Jones.
Pallbearers were Lee Pfeffer, Fred Franklin, Lawrence Barnes, Bowen Travis, Mike Jones and Charley Strain. Interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville with John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti in charge.
She was the daughter of the late John and Rosa Arms Wood.
