James "Jim" Folks, 77, rural Heyworth, passed away Monday (Sept. 21, 2009) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
He was born in Bloomington, Il. to James L. and Neva Arteman Folks. He married Shirley Steege on Feb. 14, 1951, in Alton. She survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Deborah (William) Huber, LeRoy; a grandson, John D. Lewis, Heyworth; one brother, Ralph Folks, Youngtown, Arizona and one sister, Marilyn (Fred), California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Dorothy Lewis, in 2008.
He served in the United States Army.
