Funeral services for Lela Reid will be held Monday September 14, 2009 at 10:00 am at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Crider and Rev. Bill Ichter. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Sunday September 13, 2009 at Rose-Neath.
Lela was born March 28, 1910 in Claiborne Parish and entered into rest September 10, 2009 in Minden. She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church Minden.
Her parents, T.J. & Beulah Kemp, husband R.H. Reid, son Harold L. Fuller, brothers Ronald Kemp, J.T. Kemp, Don Kemp, Fortson Kemp, sisters Novie Tisdale, Lettie Kilpatrick, and great-granddaughter Pattie Ann Jean Winters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Richard D. Reid and wife Davonna, daughter-in-law Peggy Fuller, four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchilden.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Kemp, Wilton Kilpatrick, Thomas Kilpatrick, John Burnett, Carroll G. Hardy, and David Perkins.
