Mrs. Fred Merner
Following an illness of three weeks, Mrs. Fred Merner, 63, of 60 Church St., died yesterday at the K-W Hospital. Born Feb. 5, 1889, in New Hamburg, she was the former Matilda Groff, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Groff. Her marriage to Fred Merner, who survives, took place Feb. 2, 1910, in New Hamburg.
Also surviving are three sons, Vernon of Kitchener, Wallace of Vancouver and Kingsley (Sonny) of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Dorothy) Patterson of Sarnia; one sister, Mrs. Oscar Lobsinger of Hamilton and 11 grandchildren. One brother predeceased her.
