Butler Congleton, 91, of Booneville, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, KY.
He was born April 17, 1914 in Lee County, KY, the son of the late Enos and Mertie Belle (Hall) Congleton. He was a electrician, an Army Veteran of WWII, and member of the Christian Church.
Survivors are two sisters, Elizabeth C. Caudill of Nicholasville, KY, Nancye C. Stamper of Beattyville, KY; one brother, Luther P. Congleton of Booneville, KY; nephew John P. West of Beattyville, KY; stepdaughters, Faye Gamstetter of TN, Estelle Brock of Hamilton, OH; daughter-in-law, Peggy Robinson of Hamilton, OH.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Naomi C. West, Veda C. Brandes, Clyde C. Congleton, Norman D. Congleton, Russell E. Congleton and Graydon Congleton.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Garret Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Congleton Cemetery.
