---Laura Bell Brown, age 61, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, was found Saturday a.m. shot to death at home in her bedroom.
---She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillie Shumaker who resided in La Crosse, Missouri.
---She is survived by one sister, Maurita Murphy of Millard; one brother, Roy Shumaker of rural La Plata; four sons and three daughters.
---Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25th. Her body will be cremated.
Laura Bell Shumaker married Charles Murle Brown on June 23, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri and they had seven children: James Alvin Brown, Naomi Christine Brown Tirrell, Marietta Jane Brown Ellison, Daniel Charles Brown, Esther Belle Brown Trimer (sp.1 Stoney Shephard, sp.2 Jay Trimer), David Earl Brown and Paul Michael Brown.
