GASTONIA - Robin Morgan Overcash, 55, is rejoicing and singing with the angels as of Sept. 20, 2009.

A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of Hilda Arrowood Morgan Olive and the late Walter Glenn Morgan.

Robin was a 1972 graduate of Ashbrook High School. She will be remembered for many things, her gifts of laughter, sense of humor, love of family and friends. She had many passions, whether it was decorating the perfect Christmas tree or helping Tommy serve one of his delicious meals.
She could fill a room with her very presence. Her boys and Tommy were her pride and joy. Robin was a dedicated worker for over 20 years for Attorney, Rob Sumner. She was an active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the Praise Choir, graciously oversaw the decorating for Christmas and along with Tommy fed the entire church on numerous occasions.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at Southminster Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jerry Bron and the Rev. Sam Mintz officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Tommy Overcash; sons, Wesley Wise and Joshua Wise both of Gastonia; mother and stepfather, Hilda & Jack Olive of Gastonia; brother and sister in law, Leonard & Stephania Morgan of Dallas, sister, Stevette Mathis of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kelly Morgan and infant brother, Ray Wayne Morgan.
