William W. Howcroft, was born April 21, 1916 in Sacramento, CA and entered into rest on May 23, 2007 in Auburn, CA. Mr. Howcroft was raised in Auburn, CA and attended Placer Union High School. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He worked as a Merchant Seaman and as a Bartender. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ester Howcroft; his daughters Ginger Amantito and her husband Gary and Judy Harrison; his sister Katherine Alcano and sister-in-law June Anderson; his grandchildren Michael, Randy, Gary, John and Veronica; his great grandchildren Tarah, Danielle, Seth, Stephanie, Eric, Tom, Jordan, Keith, Sarah and Dominick; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Noon at Lassila Funeral Chapels in Auburn. Interment to follow at New Auburn Cemetery. Donations in his name may be made to Vitas Hospice.
