"Mrs. John Anders Called by Death"

"Mrs. Jennie Limes Anders, 87, died at her home, 522 East Market Street, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday following an illness that had been considered serious for the last three weeks. She had been in failing health for nearly a year.

A lifelong resident of Fayette County, she was born near New Martinsburg, but had lived in Washington C. H. for the last 52 years. She was well known and had many friends both in the city and county, especially the southern part where she spent her early life.

She was a member of the Olive Chapel Methodist Church, no longer in existence.

Her husband, John Anders, died in 1933.

She is survived by her son, Forrest Anders, a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Minshall and two great-grandchildren, eight-year old Kay Minshall and two-month-old Dennis Minshall.

Funeral services are to be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at the Gerstner Funeral Home. Burial is to be in the Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the residence after 7 P.M. Wednesday, until noon. Thursday."

Additional note from Caroline Shaper, Fayette County researcher: "Pallbearers: Harry Limes, Dr. William Limes, Cliff Galliett (probably Gillette), Ray Maddux, Arthur Findley, and Walter Robinson."
