Obituary - John Galvin of South Shrewsbury died last night after a brief illness of heart disease and old age. He has been the owner of valuable farm property in South Shrewsbury for 35 years and was well known and highly esteemed in Worcester. He leaves a widow and nine children, Patrick, Thomas, John, Joseph, William, Bernard; Mary, wife of Thomas F. Mara of Worcester, Catherine and Margaret. The funeral will be Monday morning at 8.30 from his home in South Shrewsbury. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. John's church, this city, at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery. The funeral mass is to be held in St. John's church by kind permission of Rev. RJ Murphy, pastor of St. Philip's church in Grafton. Mr. Galvin, before the organization of St. Philip's church, had worshipped at St. John's church and his attachment for St. John's was such that he requested to have his funeral conducted from there.
